PITTSBURGH, Pa.—Metro Community Health Center is pleased to announce that it has received a generous grant from Staunton Farm Foundation. These funds will be used to expand our Integrated Care Services department which was launched in January 2018 and has proven to be a valuable resource to our patient population.
The Integrated Healthcare model focuses on whole-person care to address each patient’s mental health needs in collaboration with their primary care provider, improving access and quality of care for patients with multiple healthcare needs. This expansion will include a build-out of the ICS suite including a new office for an additional LCSW and a larger waiting room to accommodate the increased number of patients that will be seen. Construction on the new ICS suite began last week.
The Staunton Farm Foundation is one of the leading foundations advocating for services for mental and behavioral health patients across South Western Pennsylvania. After receiving a grant from their organization for the initial build-out of our ICS department, we were excited to collaborate with them again to help grow the program to reach a broader range of patients and to help decrease or eliminate our waitlist.
For more information on Metro’s ICS build-out, please contact the office during regular business hours at (412) 342-4044.
